Pottery Painting
Children will learn basic pottery painting techniques. After painting, children will take a tour of the kiln room and learn the process of glazing and firing.
Cost: Fees include pottery, paints, glazing and firing.

Making Mosaics
Children will learn about this ancient art form while mosaicing a 6" suncatcher. Children will also create a hanger for their suncatcher using wire and beads.
Cost: Up to 24 mosaic projects...$11/child
25 to 49 mosaic projects...$10/child
50 to 99 mosaic projects...$9/child
100+ mosaic projects...$8/child
Time: 1 hour
Pickup: Students can take home their masterpieces the same day.
Hand-Building With Clay
Children can experience the satisfaction of transforming their project from mud to masterpiece. Basic hand-building techniques will be used to create a clay pot. After hand-building, children will paint their creations with special underglazes. Children will take a tour of the kiln room and learn the process of glazing and firing.
Cost: $14/child
Time: 1.5 hours
Pickup: 2 weeks
Beading
Children will bead their choice of a bracelet or necklace using glass, clay and wooden beads while learning about jewelry traditions in different cultures.
Cost: $9/child
Time: 1 Hour
Pickup: Children can wear their jewelry home!
-Special rates are available to accredited schools, daycares and homeschool programs. Federal tax ID is required.
-15 person minimum or 10% will be added to the total bill. Field Trips may be scheduled Monday-Friday at 10am or during open studio hours.
-A $25 non-refundable deposit and the signing of a contract are required.
-For an additional $25/hour we will come to you (within a certain radius).
-All pieces are to be paid for with one check or charge.
-To do offsite events, there's a $50 offsite fee and $2 per mile roundtrip.
Scouts
Pottery Painting
Scouts will learn about color, sizing, layout as well as basics in pottery painting techniques. After painting, scouts will take a tour of the kiln room and learn the process of glazing and firing.
Cost: includes pottery, paints, glazing and firing.
Time: 1.5 hours
Pick-up: 1 week
$11 per scout-choice of a 6" square tile or two holiday ornaments
$13 per scout-choice of hot chocolate mug, ice cream bowl, or snack plate
Scouts also have the option to choose from hundreds of other pieces of pottery that we have in stock. The price per scout is a $6 studio fee, plus the cost of pottery, and then we take $2 off that price.
Wheel Throwing/Hand-Building With Clay
Experience the satisfaction of transforming your project from mud to masterpiece. Scouts will learn how to use the pottery wheel to create a very special piece of pottery. Scouts will also hand-build with clay and will be introduced to pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Scouts will then paint their hand-built project with special underglazes. After painting, scouts will take a tour of the kiln room and learn the process of glazing and firing. This program will fulfill the Ceramics and Clay Badge requirements.
$22 per scout

Hand-Building With Clay

Scouts will hand-build 2 projects and paint their creations with special underglazes. After painting, scouts will take a tour of the kiln room and learn the process of glazing and firing. This program will fulfill the Ceramics and Clay Badge requirements.

Pick-up: 2 weeks
Making Mosaics
Scouts will learn about this ancient art form while creating a 6" square suncatcher. After mosaicing, scouts will learn how to use wire and beads to create a cool hanger for their suncatcher. No grouting is required.

Pick-up: Artwork will be taken home that day
Beading
Scouts will learn about jewelry traditions in different cultures and then bead their own necklace and bracelet set!

Glass Fusing
Scouts will learn how to assemble layers of glass on a 4" glass blank. Glass will also be slumped to create a funtional dish.
